32RH is 904 based case design

A518 became a 46RH then 46RE ( both of which are an OD btw )

4 = # of forward speeds
6 = HD
R = rear wheel drive
H = hydraulic governor ( E = electronic governor)

To answer the op, I believe it was approx real late 90's or early 2000's and even then I believe it was only only in B vans . Best I can remember all pickups had gone to the A518 OD trans by then
