If worest comes to worset cut the short rod and slip a piece of tubing over the ends to make up the needed length and weld it back together.



The 3/4 rod is DIFFERENT on an an A body , if there was not a difference in length the factory would not have spent a penny to make a rod that is BENT DIFFERENTLY because the lever is pointing down instead of up .

You MIGHT be able to use a std 833 rod on an OD box but I know you can not use the OD 3-4 rod in a non OD position , I tried it when I broke the threaded end of my 3-4 rod , at least not without modifying something ...
