The reason I'm asking is I just bought a 1985 D-150 Prospector standard cab, long box with a 318-4bbl. The hood has been swapped, so no sticker to go off of, but the truck has a factory 318 with Quadrajet carb, iron intake and appears to be untouched, the local auto parts stores say they don't have a listing for a 318 4-bbl in 1985 in the D-150, all of the information/parts come up as a 2bbl version only. Internet search comes up with nothing but alot of generic information, most of it wrong, but no specifics. So here's the question, was their a factory 318 4-bbl option in 1985 D-150's or not? Original owner says that the truck came that way from the factory, originally a NM truck. first digits of the VIN are 1B7GD14T1FS. I come up with that decoding to a 318 2bbl on some internet sites, others omit the engine information altogether. Just curious if I have 360 heads n this engine or not, not picking it up for a few days, but getting anxious to know what I've got. Thanks!!
