Well based on the replies so far, 45 cubes is hard to overcome with a simple cam swap.

I used a 273 hipo solid cam with .500 lift,that thing rocked.

I have used the 273 hipo solid in a few 318s,all 273 valve gear.

if you are going hydro cam/lifters stick a 318 whiplash cam in it.
