I haven't tried this stuff. I did however use something similar I got from my local welding supplier to weld/solder/glue together a pot metal switch I had at work. It did work.
Maybe check your local welding sources as the starter muggyweld kit is kind of pricey for a single/test use. I only bought one stick of the stuff and used generic plumbing flux. Didn't think to ask what the brand name was, just told them what I was trying to do.
As Dayclona pointed out, it can go bad pretty fast, proceed with caution.
