Where do the 1009's fall in the mix?

https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...&PHPSESSID=

Or, in summary, the 1009s have...
- smaller bore diameters that are hit-or-miss on 4.375" bores depending upon the size of the chamfer at the top of the bores, and may hang into the combustion chambers where they flare out at the valves and...
- the steel wires in the fire rings that brinell ("leaves dents") in aluminum heads.

I've used the 1009s w/ good results on 4.375" "no chamfer" blocks and OEM iron heads, but won't use them w/ aluminum heads now.
