Here is something to consider...American Vermont rotary files in a cordless drill will let you buzz material at your pace and they dont clog up and will not run away on you.

You will feel it in your arms the next day as you with pressure decide how much and what material comes out the use rolls to finish.

So if you got a good amount of work to do, its easy to feel confortable using them vs a carbide which I olny use on iron heads.

They also sell an 8 inch ext. which I didnt put in the pic.
