Unfortunately, I don't do porting work on a regular enough basis to have a good feel for what to expect any more. I'll have to experiment on an old head to see if I can get the contour I'm looking for consistently using sanding rolls.

I may also try a small fine-cut, egg-shaped, carbide to see if I can get the same results w/o cutting away too much too quickly, which is my big concern.

I used the heavy alum. egg shaped cutters where I was removing the most material like the p-rod pinch, roof, walls and lightly in the bowls then followed up w/the tootsie rolls for the final shape and finish. I would lay your head gasket on the heads and base my work/shaping on that as my guide. Just some personal opinions from a "hack"............
