I know... If you drove into their shop with a non AC running car and they took out the dash and cut and fit AC vents a and run the duckwork. Then then would replace and fit the new box run all the electric/cables. Then put it all back togeather is alot of work right there in the interior alone.

I know yours is apart and it's not the same thing as above, really when you think about counting all the work up front too. 1350 aint bad labor charges which includes freon and belts and stuff like that.
