I recently got a transmission cooler with a thermostat that I plan on mounting after the radiator. The thermostat only opens when the tranny fluid reaches a certain temp so no worries about too cool fluid.


Wouldn't that cut off the fluid flow when t-stat is shut???




No, as the thermostat has an internal bypass. It acts as a short piece of pipe when it's closed. when it opens the internal bypass is closed and the fluid has to go through the transcooler.
