As a young man, I watched a movie called Two Lane Blacktop. While most people laughed at the premise as being far fetched, to me it was pure nirvana, who wouldn't want to jump in thier Hot Rod and run around the country in search of like minded souls just looking for a good race??

Early in this century, with a fresh DVD in hand, I invited a group of my Drag Racing buddies over to watch it. They made fun of it, didn't get it at all. You see, many NHRA racers at the top level simply view it as competition, and the cars as equipment, no different than a bat, or a helmet. I realized at that point I was hanging with the wrong crowd, then Drag Week was born, and the chance to live my dream scenario became a reality. This will be my third trip, and I can't thank both the organizers, and they people who choose to make the journey as well, enough!
