The sealer I have used in the past is actually epoxy primer (PPG DP90LF) After you have done all your body work,priming, and block sanding...you need to spray a coat of sealer on last thing before you apply the topcoat. Like someone above said, it's probably not necessary for a backyard job. Sometimes I forget to take my mind out of " Do it by the book restoration mode."
