He meant you need to spray a coat of sealer on the fender before you paint it. Sealing is the last step before painting. Just sand all the old clear coat off, then spray the sealer and let it flash the proper amount of time per the spec sheet with the sealer...then paint it. No need to sand the sealer first. I would sand a place off on the old fender to see what color sealer was under the original paint, and buy that color sealer. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Twocents.gif)
