With the "down economy" MOST cars should be able to get painted for far less than 10k! Unless,of course,they're basket cases,that need LOTS of body work..or you're paying for a "Show Quality" paint job! Taking a car down to the bare metal is labor intensive(read: lots of hours) My painter didn't think it was necessary in my case! I don't really want to divulge how much it cost for the body work,and paint...some brazed patch panels had to be done in a few spots,but it was nowhere close to 10k. All he has left to do,is paint the lower body with the organisol black,as well as the 6 pack hood,and wheel it out. I'm VERY happy...SO FAR!
