Last year one of my heads sprung a leak and I think it's time to upgrade. I have a stock block 416 with a mechanical cam 265@.050 with 600 lift, 11.25 to 1 compression, factory cast iron heads that flow 271 and 171, a 1 7/8 headers, victor 340 intake and a 950 hp carb. My question is what should i pick up going to a set of ported edelbrocks that flow 299 and 218 and a super victor. My motor made about 515 HP and touqe before the change. Im looking for reduced ET.
I can also get a roller cam set up The specs were 260/266 degrees duration at 0.050 and 0.683/0.657 lift but I think that would be a little too much for a stock block.
What do you guys think? Thanks Craig
