Replacing a quick strut is easy. The MacPherson strut is maintenance at its easiest. Jack the corner of the car up and put it on blocks, you need at least two points of support. Take off the wheel. Look at the strut and the knuckle. At some point there is a clamp or bolts that attach the strut to the knuckle, spindle, whatever you call it. Take those bolts out. With a big hammer and block of wood, drive the knuckle off the strut body.
0pen the hood. Find the three bolts that hold the strut to the car body. If the holes are slotted mark the position of the nuts with Magic Marker. Remove two of the three nuts, put them in a safe place. loosen the third nut until it is nearly off. Reach under the fender and support the strut assembly while you remove the last nut. Strut assembly is now out.
Take the new strut assembly out of the box and install it reversing the directions. I could do this in an hour and not even have to bleed.
