My Mitchell's guide says 1.3 hours per strut, or 2.4 for the pair, with a .7 deduction per strut if the knuckle is removed.

It's VERY common for the tops of the strut towers to rot out on those vehicles. If yours has, you'll need to get that fixed, too. There's a repair kit out there for that specific purpose because it's such a common occurrence.
