It seems pretty apparent that Mopar had blocks that were used quite often 1-2 years later than cast date. It is likely they were set aside for minor repair or other quality issues and then sent to the plants after repairs were completed. It is surprising some of them were around up to 2 years or so....but seems very likely to me.
