Robert, normally the modules come with a little pack of compound, but, many people use this
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102858 and I have also used Arctic Silver compound from my pc building.

Di-electric is just silicone and does not have anything in it to assist in heat transfer as I under it.
