Just as the pic above shows, i've never seen any painted, just black plastic. I believe the rest of the underside as above stays the red oxide primer color. I have pics of this somewhere on a yellow survivor Bee that used to go to Carlisle, i think it was still the original owners. I'll try to find the pics..............PS i still have a spare one of these hoods if anyone's looking to buy one.
