HP, weight and body style play a BIG factor in trying to reach the MAGICAL 200 mph club (1/4 mi or Salt Flats). HP would definitely be different due to the
faster acceleration of the 1/4 mile type car, but
as far as the body/weight is concerned, in both scenarios
low drag coefficency plays a MAJOR FACTOR at that speed. My vote: Over 1700 hp, body/chassis depending for 1/4 mi. 500 HP or better in a mid to lightweight "slippery" body/chassis for the Flats.
