My build is coming to an end, now getting to the little parts. Like what size pulley on the blower! Have some questions on the supercharger. This is going in a 1998 Regular Cab Dakota Sport. Not going to see the track that much, just want something to have fun with on the streets.

I'm going to run a Novi 2000. I read the safe limit on these is 55000 RPM. I currently have a 7.25" crank pulley and a 3.25" pulley on the Novi.

So, 7.25"/3.25" = 2.23077
2.23077 x 3.54 = 7.89692
55000/7.89692 = 6965 RPM

This is going to be a street truck, I'm not going to spin it past 6000 RPM. I want this thing to last! So the way the Paxton is set up now, I can spin the engine all the way to 6965 RPM before over spinning the blower.

I was thinking a smaller pulley on the blower. Reason being, Paxton no longer makes a kit for the Dakota anymore. I read that there was a 8" crank pulley but mine came with the smaller crank pulley. I know a smaller pulley on the blower, the worse the belt slip will be, but I think a custom crank pulley would be $$$.

I'm going to get a Richard Racing pulley, once I know what size I need.

2.9" Pulley = 6215 RPM
2.85" Pulley = 6108 RPM
2.8" Pulley = 6000 RPM

I plan on setting the rev limiter at 6000 RPM and shift in the high 5000 RPM range. I'll try to pick a cam that accommodates this. Any suggestions for cams? I know, I know. I'm going to call cam companies and tell them my setup, but some of you might have real world experience with a similar setup. This is EFI, by the way.

So would I want to max out the blower where the rev limiter is to be on the safe side? Or is over spinning the blower not that bad? Again, I want the engine and the blower to last. I was thinking about the 2.8" pulley would be perfect, but what do you guys think?

Shooting for 450-500 RWHP and 450-500 RWTQ, and very streetable. If the numbers go north of that, I wouldn't mind either, ha.
