Those things are high dollar! You would probably never save enough in fuel to pay for it. I had a 28' enclosed with 1' extra height and a brand new Duramax diesel, my mileage with and without towing was close to yours. (14 mpg highway)

Any decent tow vehicle will hardly notice an open trailer. An enclosed trailer is like pulling a parachute behind you. I've wondered about those V-nose trailers, do they provide better mileage?
