I finally got the cam out of the engine I bought. The engine is a rebuilt 1974 440 with steel crank. One cylinder had water in it but it looks to be a low mileage rebuild, albeit it came out of a mud bog truck that broke and rolled. The end of the cam has alphabet soup stamped into it. No brand names.

I googled the crap out of it. The only cam I could find was a CamCraft.com. You can see the specs on the cam under letter "C". It's labelled 21-1424

I plan to put a call in to them unless one of you motorheads can ID this baby.

So if these are the true numbers, how aggressive is this cam? Is it like the old 282 MP purple Hyd cam? Lift, duration, lobe separation, it's stuff I have heard for years but it's still greek to me.
