The first time I tried to certify my car it was turned down because I had some CM bars in the MS cage. The guy that built the cage did it and I don't know why. I had to change those bars to MS and he certified it the next try.

Was probably MIG welded.. Can't MIG weld CM.. If it was tigged and was proper thickness no reason for them to reject it..

Bluecuda413 was it a combination of tig/mig or what? I'm curious as i'm going to add some more bars (cm)and tig them in,but the ms bars r mig............Thax.

I was waiting to get my car certed and the inspector
would ask what bars were what dia and thickness
before he even started the inspection... if the person
didnt know he would ask if you wanted him to continue
and if he started the inspection it cost the inspection
price weather it passed or not... if you didnt know
the specs(for the cert you were going for) and he measured
the bars at a different thickness or dia you could fail...
dont know why if the stuff is in spec
