You have unregulated pressure to the fuel solenoid straight from a blue pump?

If so, you MUST put a regulator in the line. The plate is designed and jetted for certain fuel pressures. If it's designed and calibrated to run at 5 psi, set it at that rate.

My 2 cents... read the directions for the kit and when you get done... read them again. Note the tune up page and fuel pressure requirements for the system.

Also, if the fuel jet is bigger than the n2o jet it's a fat tune up in almost every case. Old NOS instruction had that type of tune up and the new ones have a revised jet package the plates which is squared up. Check with whoever makes the system.
