Not what you requested but I'd properly baffle the 187 & maybe run an extra qt on strip days. I'm more concerned w internal oiling mods as opposed to the pan running dry and I think when it's been reported that it is due to not enough pickup/pan clearance (I like 1/8") like a straw too close to the bottom of a milkshake rather than the pan being sucked dry from either a hi vol pump and or not enough sump capacity as commonly blamed
