Dead at 65, apparently from cancer. Guitarist for Thin Lizzy, and also Whitesnake.
He co- wrote: "Still of the night", and " Is this love", with David Coverdale. R.I.P. John, thanks for
all the great music over the years. angel

John Sykes is the lead guitar on this song, he plays with a violin bow, on his solo.

I guess there is nobody here, on this website, that appreciates good rock music...
especially from someone, like John Sykes, who was regarded in his industry, as a truly great musician.

I mentioned him on Jan 22, right after announcement of his death.

I love good rock music! I played bass guitar in bar bands from 1979-1995! I still own 2 Fender basses,a 1974 Les Paul Custom,a Charvel Model 88 and an Epiphone 1960 Les Paul Tribute along with a couple of bass amps including a 2x15 JBL K-140 speaker cabinet. A couple of cheaper guitars and a Marshall JCM 2000 repaired by a Moparts member that was the sound tech for Iowa band Slipknot! Music has been a very big part of my life! drumhit musik

Painting with a pretty broad brush there. Did you notice when Alan Lanier of BOC passed away a few years ago? (who's BOC?)

All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain
We can be like they are
Come on, baby, don't fear the reaper........

Saw them with Cheap Trick many moons ago
