Rare doesn't always mean valuable.

Well it was Canadian currency it would only be $175K? work There was a 318 A/C identical look survivor at Mecum, I think it sold today. Wonder what that went for?

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

I literally had a 68 Charger with a slant 6. I knew how "rare" it was, but couldn't give the dang thing away. Granted, this was probably 20 years ago, and I eventually sold it. It was in bare metal and absolutely rust free.
You can put a price on anything. As noted, rare and valuable are 2 different things. I probably let it go to cheap, but had no interest in restoring the slowest 68 Charger on earth. I don't remember exactly where it went,
but I think it went to Vancouver. This could be that car. And if it sells for anywhere near what he is asking, I will be shocked.

At first I thought that's what it sold for and nearly fell out of my chair. The owner is awfully proud of the car at that price. I'm with Stumpy, this may be one of those instances where rarity does not necessarily equal value. I am far from an expert on Charger prices but to me seems at least double of what might be a reasonable starting point?

I think people have to start backing away from the crack pipe, if they are in love with it that much they need to keep it

I almost bought a Slant 6 Charger decades ago in downtown L.A. - same colors, but I can't recall if it was a '68 or '69.
May have been a '68, to bookend my red '68 Charger (383 4-bbl, 4speed, AC).
The weakest engine in the fastest-looking Mopar is humorous enough to me that I'd have one.

Insane price for the car, and I guess The Expert wasn't concerned with the hood pad, radiator support blackout, and probably other items I didn't spend enough time to look for.
I would think $80,000 is All The Money for the car, mainly due to the "Charger Tax", and its rarity, and that's probably a "push".

iagree EXACTLY. It's still just a slant 6 car, so who cares how rare it is...other than the current owner? It's a very nice car to start w/ once you yank out the entire drivetrain. twocents

Typed the words right off my fingers. But it does have the coveted slant six!
