This thread is kind of old but I have done 2 swaps already. Both were 6 cylinder 904 cars. First one was a 1981 spirit GT with a 440 and 727. The 2nd was a 79 spirit DL with a 318 and 904. Since the car was a 904 car and my v8 had a 904 I was able to use the orignal tranny mount, shifter, lines, driveshaft, speedo cable, and saftey switch. Needed the truck pan and pick up tube. Center dump exhaust manifolds.Mounts were just a flat plate welded to crossmember towars the front of it and a hole drilled thru it for the truck rubber mounts. Both were fast and fun.
