Hi all, I was just trying to get my engine together and while seeting up the lash I saw that 3 of the lifters are stuck solid. As in you can not get any downward movement in the cup.
then saw that another 4 cups are stuck down in the lifter.
These are new out of the box Comp hydraulic roller lifters 8920.
What to do?

They have been shipping lifters FILLED with I guess is WD40 stuff--we have been taking them apart draining-then putting it all back--this way the plunger moves so you can set the preload correct--hope this helps
I have had comp hyd roller lifters that would stick in the down position --killed a couple of builds and customers confidence--they suck--Cranes were MUCH better and now there is another player that has decent units --being sold by folks under different names--don't know where they come from --good luck
