I ran 215/70 15s on 15 x 6.5 rallys on the front and 255/60s on 15 x 7 rallys on the rear. It looked good, although I much prefer the 275/60

Restoring a car to look "only" as good as the factory made it is like getting a boob job for your wife and having the doctor make them two different sizes to seem more natural

I'm running 235/15/60's all around on My 67 GTX..7 inch rim...I'm going to 255/70/15's on the rear next as they are 29 inches tall. Also switching rearend to 391 from 355's and hoping to get same rpm's at same speed or closer. The other tires are only 26 inches tall...the 70 series will lower rpm at speed..save gas if not doing a rearend change. Tires are all BF goodrich radial T/A's

My friend has a pro street dart with 33 inch tall tires on the rear..456 gears and turn around 3000 rpm at 60...and fantastic out of the hole

I've run that size tire on both size rims, and the 8" width is better. The 7" resulted in a little bit too much bulge around the sidewalls for my taste. I push my car into the corners pretty hard and I wanted to reduce the little bit of rollover that you get with the tire.

Consider running a 245 up front.235's leave alot of gap between the tire and fender unless you lower the front ride height.

I've always been told that 235/60/15s were the biggest you could go on the front of an e-body.

I've seen bigger tires used up front on b-bodys but just assumed they had more space up front.

nope, not true. I run 245/60-15s on my cuda up front. 275/60-15s on 8" rims on the back. I used to have 7" rims but went with 8" after 20 years and the tires fit them much better.

the lack of a trim ring bothers me a bit but I run the 7" rings so its not too bad

Do you have 15 x 8's on the front too, or just the back? I'd like to see if 245/60/15 will fit on a 15 x 8 with 4-1/2" backspace on the front of my Challenger. If not, I will probably go 235/60

I ran that exact combo on 15 x 7" copcar rims on my 87 Diplomat.

I had to lower the pressure in the rears to allow the tire to wear evenly. It was a real fine line between too much and not enough pressure. Too much and the centers wore out, too little and the rear got wiggly. IIRC, I ran about 28 psi in the back vice the stock 35 psi.

Don't be the exception.
