I ran 215/70 15s on 15 x 6.5 rallys on the front and 255/60s on 15 x 7 rallys on the rear. It looked good, although I much prefer the 275/60
Restoring a car to look "only" as good as the factory made it is like getting a boob job for your wife and having the doctor make them two different sizes to seem more natural

I have 255/60-15 on my stock iron wheels with hubcaps... I think they are 6"... no prob at all. but I was thinking upgrade to 7" or 8" anyway, not because some problems... so will keep watching for opinions too

I ran that exact combo on 15 x 7" copcar rims on my 87 Diplomat.
I had to lower the pressure in the rears to allow the tire to wear evenly. It was a real fine line between too much and not enough pressure. Too much and the centers wore out, too little and the rear got wiggly. IIRC, I ran about 28 psi in the back vice the stock 35 psi.
