shoot. these things have been in the 9 second range in heavy 4300 plus pound car in brackets for years.
good parts made by good companies, assembled by competant builders and you should be fine.
ive had no issues with heads other than a occasional (2 in 5 years) valve springs.
ive heard of blocks splitting in the 1100 hp range..these are wheel numbers also. so in a na application you should be fine.

yep. were about to build two 5.7 based hemis for a duster and a roadrunner here. road runner is going to use the sb 4 speed setup and the duster a keilser 5 speed.
mancini and mopar have the parts to hook it up to the sb trans

Seems like the dragpak intake would be the only way to go for my kind of combo.
In my book, It's the only way to fly!! But, get ready to shell out a $1000 for it. Then. finding one is the next hurdle. Indy was the only place I could find that had one, when I was looking. The Intakes don't seem to make it to warehouse stock.

yes. you can convert over to the newer style coil packs. or i should say srt8 style.
you will need valve covers, coils and the pig tails

nhramark, i sent you a pm, did you get it?
Got it and just sent you a reply.
Dragula, give my partner Bob a call at 314-435-3461. He does the design work and would love to be involved with something like that.
I have been talking to Bob on the phone and he would like to know if the cam censor location is the same on all the different year and different engines.
he is comming up with a program to cnc the bosses off the top of the timing cover to look nice with motor plate setup. he can get the 03-04 truck covers at a really decent price and wants to know if that cover can be used on all engines

that cover can be swapped between all engines except for a 2009 and newer 5.7 "eagle" motor. the install heights on the valve springs dictate a differant valve cover.
your going to be limited to the truck coil pack design unless you use a seperate coil pack like the firecore stuff or a modified 6.1 style mounted differantly.
cam position sensors remain in the same location yes, i think the 09 eagle motors began to use a differant plug. maybe it was the 08 motors.

09 and up 5.7 eagle motors changed block design. in other words if its a vvt motor is uses specific covers for that motor...to include the timing cover.

I'll post this for my buddy at The CrankShop. Blower intakes for 5.7 and 6.1. He is also doing new valve covers with the liter number instead of cubic inches.

Sweet! Looks like a Whipple could bolt right up to that blower intake. We're currently working on a 392 Gen III Hemi build with a 4L Whipple and A/W intercooler. Mocked it up today and the top of the blower is 15" above the top edge of the valve cover.
Edit: I also see coil pack mounting pedistals casted in the bottom of the intake. Nice.

depends on the person. a 6.1 starts with the 4.055 bore. a 5.7 is what? 3.917
just depends on what your after. 6.1 blocks and parts have been alot higher than the 5.7 counterpart.

well. these motors are cool indeed. a buddy of mine running a set of eagle heads i sent him along with a mild for you guys 219/223 @.050 cam on e85 just pulled a 11.68 at 119.3 mph in a 4000 race weight charger.
running a 1.73 60 foot time btw. car normally runns low 1.6 short times and the D.A. is in th e5-600 range i think for them right now.
so if there are any doubters, these things can run...
pm me waters. on what that pan fits and what you want for it.
