5.7 intake risers. I dont do much of any of this stuff anymore. There is no call for it. My early hemi parts outsell them 100:1.
And just a small correction. The original "Indy" style valve covers were actually "CrankShop" valve covers.

I remember. I was confused about that until They called and ordered some sets and explained it. Nice people. How are you , TR?

Live feed!! Awesome. Lets make it a Moparts live feed !! Can't wait to see a possible 1000 Horse Hemi screaming ! Thank you.. Are you recording EGT and O2? Thanks, Rick Gorski

All 8 cylinders are hooked up to EGT probes with 02's in the collector's. At the last dyno session with this same engine, she ran out of injector at 5500 rpm. Still made 936 hp/898 ft lbs, tq. The 120 lb injector's will be here next Monday.

BTW, Our last pull with this engine blew the discharge tube off the front and dang near took out the window between the dyno room and control room. Luckily it happened at the dyno instead of at the track where it could have easily taken out the radiator. Charge tube restraints have already been installed. Here's a mock up pic of the beast. I'll post up pic's of the finished product tomorrow.

I would like to know more about this combo? I am very seriously considering a new hemi in my Challenger.

Steve ground me an itty bitty camshaft for my 392 stroked and blown Hemi. Naysayer's have always told me it was too small and I could go faster with a different grind. My E.T's have always proved them wrong.

Thanks again Steve.

Your the guy running 9's with a small block? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I loved watchin your car in action. The Gen III Hemi weighs about 60 lbs less than an aluminum headed 5.9 SB.

That would be me. Not real far in the 9's but with a set of Eddies it does OK. If that is 60lbs less than a 5.9 its gotta be a ton less than my original R block. That thing is a pig. If these things are that light, I am even more intrigued.

New Hemi engine's weigh in at 460 lbs, less alternator, PS pump and fluid's. Also depends whether your weighing an aluminum intake vs a composite intake. With the new Gen III aluminum block you can take another 90 lbs off that.

BTW, Love your car...I've always been a small block guy at heart.

Seems like the dragpak intake would be the only way to go for my kind of combo.

yep it made 700 at 2k rpm at the wheels. adding in the drivetrain loos of 18 percent..you get the picture.

it should be a fun car to ride in. the dyno runs were made on 93 octane also.

Obviously this 2000 rpm deal is not naturally aspirated. I am still very intrigued with the prospect of dropping one of these in my Challenger. Headers will be a sinch with Bobs front end on the car too. Whats it take to hook one up to a 904 or 727?

Nope. Snow is still present here and tracks won't open for a few more weeks. My short block should be ready to assemble next week. I'm still waiting for my custom Ferrea iconal exhaust valves to show up. They should be here in the next few day's.

Would love to see it. I think there is a market for all of this stuff if you can prove to the racers that these things can be competitively campaigned in a real Mopar doorcar such as mine. 300 passes a year, 9 second ET's, double entering and in a reasonably priced package. Heck, who wouldnt want to buy one if thats the case?

Piece of cake. Manccini/MP has all that you need.
