Before I dropped money on a bunch of wetsump stuff , I'd price a dry sump setup just to see for much more it would cost to do it right the 1st time. S/F.....Ken M

Dry sump is not legal for my class.

Don't forget to get a good oil pan...

"AMC road race pans in internal and external pickup configurations. Both AMC pans feature full competition baffling with 5 doors and 7 baffle assemblies, and they’re 7 inches deep with a 6 quart capacity."

Yep. That's next on the shopping list. Choices are Canton, Armando's and Milodon. Will probably go with Canton; price is pretty good and it has more capacity than the Milodon.

Thanks

Scott

The Milodon was just a new design to address issues the AMC people had with the other pans currently on the market.

Do those other pans have as many trap doors, baffles and other features? Are they the same pan depth?

Just got off the phone with Harold Brookshire of Ultradyne/Bullet Cams. He's grinding up a custom cam for me - .587/.587 (net .571), 255 @ .050 (single pattern) on 108 LC. Price is $187; not bad for a custom grind.

Second choice was a slightly milder cam - 243/251 @ .050, .571/.576 on 106 LC.

Thanks for all the input.
