Will this swap work ? or will all the parts work on a b-body spindle ?
So the bartender says to the horse " Gee, Why the long face?"

Yep, I have them on my '67 Valiant right now and my buddy has had them on a 1966 Dodge Coronet for about 6 or 7 years now.

I seem to have hit a hornets nest with a big rock. I have even got some negative p.m.'s from guys about it. I have been a member for quite a few years and people need to relax. This is an information forum not a bunch of hens in a hen house. Good grief. State the facts that you know and leave it at that.

Mods are to keep the forum clean. Not add fuel to the fire.

I've been running FMJ's on A bodies for a LONG time and NEVER an issue. The B spindles are the same height as the A's in your case. I sell all the A body kits I get and buy 2-3 FMJ set up with the proceeds.
BBD has a nice write up about the geometry with some data, unlike that original article people love to quote. I've never heard of a BJ breaking from over-angling and I believe neither has the author. The change in position is approx or less than 3* at the extremes, IIRC. IMO, there's a bit of CYA journalism in the article which is fine and dandy in our litigious society.

There lots of dangerous bump steering A and B bodies out there with breaking ball joints. LMAO, so you might want to stay home.

I put those spindles on my son's 67 Barracuda autocrosser. Never an issue with the suspension on that car.
.....I've been running the F,M,J spindles(prefered) for years, street/strip/roadcourse, no alignment/set up issues, on any of the cars, mine or customers that I've installed them on, including achieving caster requirements,...I do prefer however to change the caliper bracket over to the earlier 70-2 pin style,...IMHO a lot of the "controversy" over the install is by "armchair quarterbacks" calling the plays

Thanks everyone for your hard facts as to the issue. Since this is going on a '57 Plymouht, I need to find a '57 Ply spindle and sit it next to a standard disc b-body spindle to check height and angle and such. The quest continues...

A '57 isn't a B body that the OP asked about. The F,M,J brakes will work on the Forward Look cars but it's not quite as easy as the B body; some grinding for clearance is required.

Thanks John. The '57 had FMJ's disc on it when purchased, but had really bad bump steer. So my father took the discs off and put on stock '57 drums and the bump steer went away and now drives like a dream.
In the long run he wants drop spindles on it but they dont make them for drum brakes, disc only.
I believe the arm on the fmj's that bolts on and the tie rod end drops into is the issue.
