My reference was to the type of connector used..
The standard Pro-Comp distributor uses a male type connector similar to a spark plug tip...
440Source sells the Pro-Comp but has (2) versions of caps available, 1 is the male type connector and the other is the standard female type as used in the Mopar OE stock caps..
The choice is yours..
Funny how the most simple things can get twisted around..

Just my $0.02....

Thanks for the replies. Has anyone had any issues with performance or longevity? I will be using some factory heads for my build. Anyhow I appreciate your input, Thanks.

Advance seems to be screwy. Timing seems to be all over the place. Car would not idle. Put in MSD and everything smoothed out, and was fine. Not impressed.

Why to buy expensive MSD? You can get well workeing and curved distributor for smaller price. Take call to Don Gould from FBO Systems.
I ordered from Don all kind of distributros through years and had zero problems!

X2.... I'm having these same issues.I'm starting to suspected the dizzy and Ive tried 2 diff MSD boxes on mine. Mine advances WAY fast and it does seem to bounce around at base timing/idle.The tach acts goofy also.

After seeing this I will try an MSD/firecore dist also.

My point is that I think only the procomp caps fit....why didn't they make it so an actualeasy to get parts store magnum or stock cap would fit? I have a gutted pro-comp I am using for a prototype for something (I welded the advance solid) and I didn't realize that it didn't use a commonly available cap when I got it.
