I looked up CME (Carolina Machine Engine), and they have been in business since 1984, and with the BBB since 2006. According to the BBB, they have an A+ rating, and only two complaints since 2006? I believe the engine could make the claimed power, but there is alot more power that could be gained with a larger cam, carb, headers, and ported heads, but for $7K is not a bad price for that crate engine with a 1-year / 12K mile warranty.
