Congrats! Please forgive my ignorance, but what is involved in "drying"? Is it related to the dairy industry? Very happy for you.

For the past two years,I have been working at a dairy processing plant. Could only race every other weekend if the weather was good. Most weekends off it wasn't good!! I drive 48 miles one way and the winter has been brutal. An opening in drying operations came up in a plant 13 miles from home. So after the testing,I took it!! This plant runs 24/7 until the summer months and then weekends off!! So...It is possible that the old 64 may finish pretty high in points at CFR this year!! Like good ol buddy Wes used to say...Boys....I am coming and Hells coming with me!! I am pumped!!
Good deal. It's all about enjoying life with family and friends.I've learned the hard way to always give a 2 weeks notice.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!! I did give a two week notice as I have 2 weeks vacation time and 4-5 sick days which I will get paid for. That there is a pretty good chunk of change!! I can't wait till the racing season gets here. The wife and I don't have many hobbies and we like to spend as much time at the track as we can.
I was curious as if this new job was for the same company and just a different division, but your comment just answered that, so congrat's on the switch, switching job's can sometimes be a burden on the mind, but sound's like this one was a no brainer,,

Sounds like a win for the home team. I will have to drag down there and see what the hubbub is about. I know a handful of twin cities racers who get down that way , so I can't use the long tow excuse. I am trying to decide if Grove Creek will be the home track again , or if I want to run 1/4 at the Rock. I don't see us chasing points again , but I want to get out as much as my wallet will allow. Look forward to seeing you out there.
