, Mark you really should dump the big dollar purchase into the poorly executed shortblock that came in that car. I talked to Dan about your goal after the last time we talked and he said all you need is a cam change on your current setup to get you there.

I'd change the cam and get a little port work done to the 915's ...

Thanks John and everyone else. John knows the car personally, and maybe the 'magic bullet' is not a head change, but a cam change. But what? I was hoping the EZ's with the small chambers and better flow would be the ticket.

I can't see adding either CNC'd head to your combo if your not going to change the cam to take advantage of the additional airflow, especially since it sounds like you're a bit under cammed now.

Older thread, I know...
I have the out of box standard EZ and they only flow 278 @ .600. They have the 270 cc intake port volume. I was thinking about getting them ported out to hopefully a 290-295 window and flowing around 350-355 cfm. That is what is offered by Indy in their "Little EZ" heads. Does this seem too unrealistic? Just wondering what I might be able to expect. Thanks.

Yes, 350-360 should be well within reason after opening them up to the MW port size. Dwayne can take care of that for you or send them back to Indy or Hughes. My EZ heads were CNC ported by Modern but Jeff was having some medical issues last I heard so that might not be an option.

The EZ head makes pretty good power when ported to the MW size. My 514 is making about 825 hp at the moment and I'm sure there is some more potential in the engine.
