I need to put a 6pt roll bar in my 67 Coronet. I am thinking to come down through the rear speaker holes and into the trunk for the rear braces. I would like to also install the rear seat though. How is this done with the roll bar installed? Will the seat still fit? Pics would be nice if you have em.
Thanks.

My Morrison kit does just that.........bars follow the roof and drop through the speaker holes. It will be tough for the kiddies to get back there , but I'll never ride back there , so what do I care. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh2.gif) A large adult WILL have their work cut out for them. Better to have them follow in their car and give them rides one at a time. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)

these bars would have to go. Not sure what class this cage is for maybe they are required. But not a chance I could get my 6'1" frame back there. I'd run the uppers along the roof and then drop them thru the package tray.
cage was never meant to have anyone (person) back there. just to be able to retain the the rear seat. more of a set up really, like "hey my car isn't fast it still has a back seat in it ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif)

I left my door panels in when the cage went in, but I can still get them in and out. Can't help you on the seats.
I'll see if I can dig up some pics, but I have full size passengers in the rear of the Charger on a regular basis. You simply must resign yourself to go under the bar face up after going over the door bar andbehind the front seat. You get used to it just like getting used to going over a door bar and in to the front seat.

I'll be following this thread because I'm planning to do the same for my 67 Coronet in the Spring. I know S&W offers good kits but would like to see it done. Pics would definitley be beneficial here. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)

Your title says "use" and then "install". Need to define "use". There is hardly any street use safe way to have passengers in the back seat with a well designed cage, unless getting hit in the head with a 1 5/8" steel baseball bat at 50 mph is OK, and foam without a helmet is useless, or they are your inlaws
Yes, I suppose I should clarify.. I would like to install the back seat and rear inner panels. I am not concerned with anyone sitting back there.
I just don't want to install the role bar and then find out I can't put the back seat back in the car.
Thanks for all you input.
Mike take the car with the rear seat to the shop you have the bar put in and tell them you want to be able to pull the seat out , problem solved .
