Not exactly vintage pics, because i just took them saturday in ohio but a very nice HEMI 500. First one produced.

Guess they wrecked the car a bit in 69 doing a photo shoot for a press release and filled the dent in with bondo. If you looked close at the car you could see the spidering of the paint, over the bondo. Can't see it now that i shrunk the pic to post, but could in person.

There was also a quite a few Daytona's at the show. Well i only saw 4 but that is more than I see at most of the other show's. 1 B5 blue, 1 Y2 Yellow, 2 EV2 Orange Daytona's. Me and John were thinking the Yellow Daytona' is the one that there were post on here about earlier, as it is from Illinois.

John, I was looking for you later on there Saturday when they pulled the 500 down to the back gate and did a photo shoot with the car. I also really liked that green 69 1/2 Road Runner. I talked to that owner for a bit too, it had 8,200 miles on it. He has had it for the past 27 years, and said he only had a passenger in the back seat 1 time, and it was his kid 25 years ago. Beautiful cars in the survivor tent.

Did you notice that the HEMI 500 had power window's, and cloth inserts in the seats?
Just curious here, but I noticed while looking at bob Malcom's V2 Daytona that had at one time lettering going down the side of it. Looks like it said "CHYRLSER". Anyone have any pictures of it with the wording on the side? I think i have some pics of a V2 daytona with some vinyl graphics down the side, just curious if its the same car.

Danny, was that really spelled "CHYRLSER"??? I was up in the burnout box and on the starting line the rest of the day. It sure is fun out there!

BobMalcoms car did have old lettering under the paint Larry in PA the orig owner had dodge on it I think.He did it before Tim Sparrow of PA owned it.later sold that car to Malcolm.Hey onebadsuperbird my friend got a magazine chrysler news or something .And theres all about wingcars in it .I think your car is in there .I havent borrowed him magazine yet.And heres some daytonas emails to follow up on 69 SE sunroof

Hey Dave, that's really cool. It would be way cool if you could borrow that magazine and scan in some of the pages with the wing car articles. I don't think I've seen that one!

well I suppose that the word Chrysler would have been spelled maybe a bit different. JK. Yeah when its this early and I'm trying to type as fast as I can I tend to make a lot of spelling errors.

So I'm guessing that Big Willie had more than the 2 HEMI Daytona's over the years? And just curious here but I had heard back when I was younger that the car from the movie Two Lane Blacktop was destroyed while being acid dipped? Is this true?
I don't think I can come up with $70,000 for the green daytona you had posted. Even with selling the 70 car recently, I still don't think my wife will go for anything over like $60-65 tops. I would love to have a 4 spd however.

Big Willie had the 2 racing hemi daytonas the king and queen daytona .And this 440 car xx29L9B356535 was a tow car or his daily driver that if you check the car on the daytona shippment list it sold new from my home town and existing today dealer Cherry Hill Dodge ..It also was wearing the hood from the hemi daytona car thats seen in the first part of 2 lane black top .And you might have read this story about this 440 big willie brother titled street racer daytona after it cameout later in MCG after the owner exposed it to the public for the first time out with it at a show.This guy went to see his racing idol after a earlier story about big willie in MCG when he was on the cover.Mcg had been to big willies after that issue and talked to him and visited him about his cars and his racing history and talked about hemi daytona acid dipped away from existence..And this original Y2 yellow daytona painted white daytona was there the whole time hiding behind a pool I heard .Theres also rumored suppose to be in B willies collection a 66 barracuda with a daytona wing like .The corkys cuda and another type of a wingcar lurks around in his collection
