Thanks for the info on the font and size Mark. I looked at the preview with the 2 point border option also. Maybe have to request the 1 point ? Or is that the default size or something when we select border

Also, Does anyone know what number goes on a 68 box ?

Thanks,
Al

the fiberglass part of the box is the same from 1966-1970. 1966-67 has some differences with the heat/ defrost flapper and a seperate part number (MODEL 747). 1968-1970 are all the same with 2 slight differences. first the part number. and, second the reason it is a different part number is the heater core. 1966-1969 is the same heater core with a 5/8 inlet and a 5/8 outlet. the 1970 has a 1/2 inlet with a 5/8 outlet.

the way I see it
2936680 is 1970 B-body non air
2837500 is 1968-69 B-body non air

2936602 is E-body I think all 5 years non air

I knew 67 was laid out different,, just couldn't remember the number , is 1966 the same as 67 ?

I have a couple boxes to do this winter and plan to get the stamps made locally

just washed it. a little blow dry and covered the contacts and gave it a light coat of satin poly.

for the 1970 b body non a/c heater box number 2936680 go to http://www.rubberstampchamp.com/custom.aspx?id=30
then go to size 3/4 x 3 and type in 2936680. font- futura book, size 38, bold, with a 1 pt border. nice source to get my stamps for all of these.

i have the part number from the actual part listing from chrysler. let me see if i can post it. next to the blue high lighter you can see that the part number for a 1970 non a/c car is 2836680. not saying that yours is not original, but this is what i am going by.

thought maybe i had an answer. for 1969 if the heater box was in a canadian car the part number was 2837501 in stead of 2837500. went back and checked to see if that was so for the 1970 and it was not. the number ends up being 2936068 (canadian) instead of what i am used to seeing 2936680. well you can see that in the above post. what is the build date of your car? maybe it is late in the model year. with mopar, never say never.
