I went to go see the Red on Red Daytona, I have talked to the gentleman who currently owns the Q5 500, but i dont think he is wanting to sell it. I told him if anywhere down the road he decides to sell it to keep me in mind. He is currently restoring his Lemon Twist Yellow 6 pac superbird also.
On the hunt for my dad's old cars. They include 5 Daytona's, 2 superbirds, and 2 500's. Very interested in finding the Red on Red Daytona, and Q5 Charger 500, and have found both cars.

Well, if the ol' boy with the Q5 500 ain't too far away, maybe you should pay him a visit. Hey, it can't hurt!

Man John, this is an incredible post!
OK, it may have already been covered, but whatever happened to Radke's old hemi Daytona that Maremont used in an ad in the late 70's? That was the Petty Blue one w/red wing. Has someone posted the picture of this ad yet? Radke sent it to me a while ago.
How about his two latest (& former) hemi Daytonas that he sold 10 years ago or so? I was at his house in Buena Park & saw them both - a red one & a white one. One manual & one auto. There was a pair to draw to!

Here is some new fresh meat for y'all. Back in 1976, as we were travelling to Talladega for the 2nd wing car meet, we were driving down US 41 in Kentucky - and over the CB, some one says, "Hey did you see those Birds back there?" We laughed about it thinking it was a joke. The reply came back, "No there is a yard full of Superbirds back there!" So we stopped and turned around, and sure enough, there were four wing cars in the yard. Turns out they were owned by Mike Zachary and his father.
Fast forward to 1984, Moparts member Fastmark was on the hunt for a Bird and travelled to Kentucky to see the legendary Zachary collection. Mike and his dad had expanded the collection and bought a ton of wing cars at what would have been considered very high prices for the time. The thought was that they would make out well on them down the line. They were right! The only problem was the cars sat outside for a long time.
Mark sent these photos in back in 1984, and here they are from the DSAC archives...
Mark says that when he arrived, he gazed in wonder at the graveyard of vehicles. A nose here, a wing poked up there, etc. All in all, nice wing cars were nestled in among the flock.
First off is a yard overview with a '70 Runner 'vert.

Wow Doug, way cool pics! I remember stumbling across Mike Zachary late one Sunday night in 1989 while scouring the Tennessee and Kentucky countryside for Mopars. Man, some of them cars were rough. The years of sitting outside off pavement sure weren't kind to them cars. Do you have any idea how many wingers Mike still has today? Maybe he has a Daytona project car for Danny???

No clue. I would imagine he still has some cars.
