Dont forget the Mancini Pans, they are from Charlies, and the one I purchased was very nice. Had the trap door, and baffled etc.

it is scraped so thin i dont think it is even weldable.
...Can you show a pic of the scraped pan.
ANYTHING is fixable ...I say beef-it-up with some heavier plate and make a skid-plate so it does not happen again. It HAS to be cheaper than buying a new pan.

If your scrapin the 7" I don't think I would go with the Source 8" As I have said before , the pan manufacture's need to get with the program and make useful pans for the cars of today with lower ride heights. 6" with kick outs and baffles would work.
the source pan says its only 7 but... http://store.440source.com/Oil-Pan-Fabricated-Aluminum-8-Quart/productinfo/200-1076/
Cab, i think the better way to extend the hemi pan would be to use 2 pans insted of adding a piece in the center. plus my welding skills are not journeyman. if i put a value on my time, it just wouldnt be worth it

Ray i went from the milodon low profile with the kickouts to the source pan now! Same height! As I was told you will have to open up some if the holes to fit ! But for $150 dollars vs the milodon and a lil of my time it's well worth it! The pan is made in USA also! I drilled a hole in the side of mine and put an internal pickup in it! One thing that does suck and I don't understand about the source pan is why they made the drain plug lower than the pan itself!

I've had both pans(Milodon and Moroso) and I like the MOROSO better.
