I notice on your list of cars, you didn't mention the RED HEMI Daytona, that is was just talked about up in canada that was missing the nose cone and wing. Then I've also heard of B5 blue HEMI Daytona 4 spd in Kansas I believe, and I believe that there was also a HEMI R4 red Daytona that was at a World of Wheels show up in Canada this year too, that had just undergone a complete restoration. So would that make 3 more? or are those cars some of the ones that you mentioned already?

Regarding the Gearbox and gas equipment for my car, I did speak with Scott when I was in England but when he learnt that the car had left the States he seemed to lose interest in re-uniting the components; I have rung his house several times since but he has always been "unavailable" so I don't know if I will ever get the pieces back together.
I am not sure where the Californian owner sourced the nose from, I am pretty sure that it didn't come with the car when he bought it from MO though.
If anyone has any info. on Superbird RM23V0A171628 I would appreciate it, came from New York.

I don't know if Dave mentioned these or not but there's also Jerry Service's black Hemi Daytona and an original owner blue Hemi Daytona in Colorado. I also seem to remember a musclecar book from the early 1980's with an orange Daytona with a white tail on the cover that had Hemi tags on the doors but I don't remember if it was a Hemi or not.

And this hemi daytona reported stolen back in the day of Mike Nelsons XX29J9B379727 R4 red 4 speed I think it was..The motor turned up in a newsletter while back .Guy was looking for the rest of it to go with that motor

Speaking of stolen stuff, anyone know what happened to the hemi that was stolen from Anlauto(I think ) There was a story about it on here .....can't recall the details but I think it was stolen out of a container at carlisle or something?

I've heard a rumor that a HEMI Daytona was found in the Chicago area, and i've also heard of a rumor that a HEMI Daytona was recently found out in the california area.
Speaking of HEMI Daytona's, i also forgot to mention this one. I don't know which car it was, but a F6 green HEMI Daytona up in Canada was burned in the early 80's, around like 81 or so. As my dad was working out a deal to trade a 69 Boss 429 Mustang 4 speed, and a HEMI 70 charger for this HEMI daytona. That wound up being burnt when the building it was being stored in caught fire. I'll ask my dad again if he remembers any more details, but for now that is all i remember of the story.

The search has kind of hit a stand still. I'm not getting anywhere in trying to get a car currently. But that is fine. i'm not really in any hurry at all to get one, I mean i wish I could get one today, but that isn't going to happen i don't think. But if it takes me a few months, or even a year then that is fine too. I told my wife i'm tired of buying a car to only have it for a half of a year to a year, and then sell it again to try to look again for a Daytona or a 500. So this time i'll go carless until i find one.
