We have been staying home the last 4 years now and we have a PIG OUT fondue ... the wife has shrimp, calamari, venison back strap, mushrooms, cauliflower, onion rings, jalapeno poppers, pizza rolls, crab rangoons, mozzarella sticks... with dips of hot mustard, garlic sauce, marinara sauce, shrimp cocktail sauce or steak sauce....all with a hot peanut oil... its always fun and we ususally eat a couple of times through the evening.... after writing that I'm HUNGRY

I should have drove up north for New Years!! wow!! all that sounds very delicious!! haha Happy New Year to Mr and Mrs P and everyone else!! it was almost 60 here today, went out worked on the car alittle bit and gettin the itch!!!

I am currently snowed in at the Clarion Inn in beautiful Grand Forks , N.D. I-29 has been closed since yesterday afternoon and as much as I would have liked to make it home to ring in the new year , it isn't going to happen. I drove from Minot to here yesterday and it was very nearly brutal , though nothing I haven't seen before. But there was a 100 car demolition derby in Fargo yesterday and they still haven't gotten that mess cleaned up. Add a new storm passing through right now and here I sit. Oh well..........as the Italian fellow once said " This is the life we have chosen."  Best wishes for a safe , prosperous and fast New Year to all of youse.
