So the Cal Gas car was painted bronze at one time? or is it origionally a bronze car? i know its not bronze currently.

Hi, having been alerted to this thread by Doug S. I thought I should introduce myself as I currently own the two winged cars that were shown earlier in the thread at the New Zealand Mopar show.
Both are genuine cars, as Alex said the Superbird is a matching 4spd 6bbl car, the Daytona is the Cal Gas car but doesn't have the original engine or 4spd in it.
The Daytona is V2 which matches the fender tag and broadcast sheet; When it was used by the Cal Gas Corp. I believe it was a blue colour, it was painted Bronze by the son in law of the owner in MO, at that time it was also fitted with an auto box as the owners Daughter couldn't manage the 4 spd.
The nose that is on the car now came from a Green Daytona, I was told this by the owner in CA that I got the car from, as he purchased it, in the condition shown in the latest photos from the MO owner.
I believe the original 4 spd box and some of the gas equipment still exist, but haven't been able to verify this yet.

Good to see you posting on here now too John. I talked to CudaKEN in Missouri quite a bit about you. he was going to fix my 69 Sunroof car until I sold it this past weekend.
Just curious but did the owner in California or Missouri have the extra green nose cone? I'm just curious, because I remember my father having an extra red and a green nose cone. I believe he sold both to a gentleman in Illinois, or at least that is what he remembers.

Just curious here, but between all the people who are posting on this thread how many HEMI Daytona's are known of still being around? I was just thinking of this the other day, I had always heard there was 70 HEMI's when I was little, now the list only shows 35. So of those 35 how many are still around? I'm guessing around 20-25 of them.
