This car belonged to Stan Mizell of Jacksonville, FL who also ran Stock and later Pro Stock, as well as Ronnie Robinson who use to own a Dodge dealership in Green Cove Springs, FL and still has a shop there.

Here's a link to an ad listing a 70 Cuda SS/DA car. The "SunKissed Cuda". A lot of good pics here. Mods I aploigize if this is a no-no.

Cheers Ray, they are great photos

As my car is not a factory Hemi car I think I might try to go a bit more radical with the paint/decals.

My dual plug Mopar heads were used in this car

They were originally run with twin plugs in a Volare that ran 8.0 @ 160 but later they plugged one set of holes & ran single plugs (with no noticable loss of power!)

Loren Zeedyk of Dragway Automotive (& Zeeker) did a lot of work developing some of the first Indy heads (wedge I think) with Russ from Indy. Loren also used the Volare as a test mule with Joe Liberty in the development of the Liberty 4 speed & I now own the heads that were on the Volare at the time & intend to put them to good use in my SS/DA style car.

Mine wasn't SS/DA, but I loved the old paint that was on it when it raced back then...

One of the SS/DA cars I saw for sale about 4 years back looked just like a stock shacker hood Cuda with a real nice stance and racing wheels and a cage. Literally, there wasn't almost anything that let you know it was capable of the et it was except the cage.

Anyways, here's pics of mine back in the day.

Dragula did you live in Cleveland ? I think I remember that car, Was it Tom Fishers old car ?

I've often thought about making my Cuda into a SS/J (i think J) with a 383 and a 4 speed then reality hit's and I realize I don't have the two most important ingredients. Time and Money. But it resemble's a super stocker so I got that goin for me.
