lol by local I meant this coast. A Cali guy. I also heard that Wes King does top end work.
I would call Angie at Mopar Engines West, although Wes did some magic on a pair of Eddy's for me years back. The work that Angie did on the Engine Challenge motor (which I now own) is second to none.

IMO hard to argue with the Wann's success at this stuff.
Also IMO it depends on your goals. Are you looking to be able to qualify well or are you wanting record setting stuff. That will make a big price difference.
There is also RWR, and as mentioned Pettis. Or you can buy Studley's old record setting Dakota it is for sale.
You buildiing it I assume as a traditional SS car not a GT?

what kind of magnum? a stock iron head? rt head? or alum ed/mopar head?
After talking to a friend I'm thinking maybe some cast iron W2s and a 340. Should put me in GT/TC. I like the idea of no tear downs.

with that combination, no port rules, valve size rules,, or anything,, not saying that he couldnt get around all that,, id try brian, ou812 on here.. he seems to be a small block guy but a cylinder head guy overall,,, he might take a special interest and treat you good on the labor

10.5 lb/cubic inch, 3000# minimum, cast iron heads only. 286 cu.in. at minimum weight. A 340 would have to weigh 3570 with driver less 250 with an automatic. 10.50 index. No one currently holds the record. Sounds like fun.
Same combination in a car is a 10.30 index and a Mopar from the mid-west holds the record with a 9.25.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I believe that is what Curtis Boggs runs in his Daytona in SS/CS or BS. Does sound like fun, not that many trucks out there in SS, I have seen mainly GT trucks. I forgot about Brian at IMM. I know I plan to take him some stuff later next year once life is a bit more settled.
